Improving community health in Somers Town
We are delivering a project in conjunction with Well London, St Pancras Community Centre and the Francis Crick which will be aimed at building a picture of our community health needs. Any information which is gathered will help to shape future activities and services in the ward and will have a major influence on the development of programmes which will be on offer in the new Living Centre.
We need volunteers for street interviews on 5 and 7 June and a cafe event on 13 June. As a volunteer you will gain new skills and qualifications and have the opportunity to contribute to mapping your communities health needs.
We also need Delivery Team Volunteers (DTVs) who will be recruited, trained and supported to develop ongoing community engagement around health issues by : signposting residents to services, becoming local health champions, influencing the design and delivery of local services, motivating people to take ownership of their health and wellbeing and if they wish by participating in a recognised funded health certificate offered at beginners level progressing to an accredited, advanced level.
